Lucasfilm has released the next episode of Star Wars Forces of Destiny featuring the debut of Padmé Amidala in the series.
Star Wars Forces of Destiny is a total of eight shorts which highlight the female heroes of the Star Wars galaxy as the series explores everyday heroism and crosses over with the films of the franchise. The series features mini adventures with heroines such as Rey, Jyn Erso, Ahsoka Tano, Hera Syndulla, Sabine Wren, Padme Amidala, Maz Kanata and Princess Leia.
The new episode “The Imposter Inside” features the return of Ashely Eckstein voicing Ahsoka Tano and the debut of Catherine Taber (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) who returns as Padmé Amidala. When Ahsoka and Padmé realize something is awry with the preparations for a set of political negotiations, they discover a shape-shifting bounty hunter in their midst. In addition to being released on Disney’s Youtube channel, the series is also set to premiere on the Disney Channel July 9 and will later be joined by an additional eight shorts in a pair of TV specials airing on the Disney Channel in the fall.
