‘Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’ Will Be Single Player With No Microtransactions

It seems that EA may be finally have learned its lesson regarding the Star Wars games as the upcoming game Jedi: Fallen Order is set to be a single player experience with no microtransactions.

This news comes to us from the Star Wars Celebration. At it, the CEO of Respawn Entertainment Vince Zampella stated that the upcoming game would not have any microtransactions and would be a singleplayer experience. While he didn’t give any additional details regarding the game, the news reportedly got cheers from the audience who undoubtedly had to suffer through the Star Wars: Battlefront EA titles.

As you may recall, since obtaining the Star Wars licenses, EA has only produced two Star Wars videogames that were both bogged down in controversy. The first was the Star Wars: Battlefront reboot that was criticized for its lack of content with EA later admitting that they rushed the game out to cash in on the then-upcoming film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The second game was somehow even worse with its controversial loot box system that backfired on the game and the company so hard that it quite literally crippled the practice for the entire video game industry. But it seems like Jedi: Fallen Order may have finally learned from the mistakes of its predecessors. Hopefully.

What do you all make of this news? Are you looking forward to Jedi: Fallen Order? Did the Battlefront Games turn you off to any EA games?

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is currently expected to be released in the Holliday season of 2019.

Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order as we learn it.
