‘Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic’ Remake Reportedly In The Works

The game is said to be in development from Aspyr.

A Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake is closer to becoming a reality after recent comments by a trustworthy insider in the gaming industry.

Ever since Disney acquired Lucasfilm and announced new Star Wars films, fans have been eager to see the return of the Old Republic era. So far, Lucasfilm has been keeping their distance from it, but there have been rumors of a film. In 2019, it was reported Laeta Kalogridis was writing a film based on the beloved Knights of the Old Republic video game.

Not much has been said about the Old Republic film since, but a report from Cinelinx suggested a remake of the 2003 video game was in the works. Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier recently backed up the claims on the MinnMaxShow by sharing a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake is definitely in development from Aspyr:

“This is public at this point, I’ve basically confirmed that Aspyr – which is the company that has ported a bunch of KOTOR games is working on [the remake].”
