Rian Johnson discusses the seeming absence of the "I have a bad feeling about this!" running gag in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
Throughout The Last Jedi, the iconic phrase is never spoken in Galactic Basic (which is English in our world, or whatever language the viewer is seeing the movie in). Nonetheless, Rian Johnson did confirm that the line appears in the movie in some way, shape, or form:
“It’s in there!”
Common fan speculation posits that BB-8 is the one who says the line in unintelligible droid-speak as a way of putting a clever spin on the concept. As of right now, it’s not clear if this is indeed the case, if it’s hidden in really well, or if it’s a line that appears in a deleted scene.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now playing in theaters. The movie’s cast includes Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico, Laura Dern as Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma, Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke, Domhnall Gleeson as General Armitage Hux, Benicio Del Toro as “DJ”, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, and Jimmy Vee as R2-D2.
