Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson has taken some serious criticism from fans about his portrayal of Luke Skywalker and recently he took to Twitter to defend his vision of the iconic Jedi Master
Episode VIII was a box office sucess and what some consider to be a fresh take on the Star Wars franchise. But not everyone was a huge fan of how their favorite Jedi knight came off in the film. It was hard for some fans to accept the character’s final run being riddled with uncharacteristic moves and warped motivations. This has led to constant criticism from fanboys and fangirls from all corners of the internet. Most of the time, Johnson is inclined to ignore such banter, but he recently looked like he had had enough and responded with a solid defense of his vision. You can check out the post below.
Johnson did not mince words in his response to the haters online. He was quick and concise in his defense and assures everyone questioning his execution of the character that it is 100 percent consistent with the Jedi Knight. And being the classy guy that he is, Johnson allowed for the discussion to continue and for any takers to meet him at the bar. It seems, for now, anyway, that Johnson is very satisfied with his Luke and will no be giving in to any of the hate from internet trolls anytime soon.
