‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Is “Different” According To People Who Have…

After the Star Wars The Last Jedi trailer drop, Daisy Ridley decided to spill the beans on what the upcoming film feels like. Spoiler alert: it's different.

The Star Wars: The Last Jedi trailer dropped earlier today at Star Wars Celebration Orlando and it’s gotten great praise from fans and critics alike. One of the most interesting things about The Last Jedi will definitely be Rian Johnson’s take on the franchise. Known for directing Brick, Looper, and three of the best episodes of Breaking Bad (Fly, Fifty-One, Ozymandias), Johnson has cemented himself as one of the most unique and visionary directors working today so it was no surprise when he was announced as a director for the eighth film in the Star Wars franchise, picking up from where J.J Abrams left off.

Thanks to Daisy Ridley and Erik Davis who recorded her response, we have an indication of what The Last Jedi will feel like.

Later on in the video, she discusses how J.J Abrams paved the way for Johnson to do his own thing. You can check out the full video below.

Despite simply being rough cuts, this news bodes well as this proves that LucasFilm is letting these new films be a platform for directors and their unique voices.

Directed by Rian Johnson, Star Wars: The Last Jedi stars Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Carrie Fisher, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, and newcomers to the franchise Kelly Marie Tran, Benicio del Toro, and Laura Dern.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas on December 15, 2017.
