‘Star Wars’: Liam Neeson Talks ‘Possible’ Return In Obi-Wan Spin-Off

'Star Wars' prequel alumn Liam Neeson discusses the possibility of returning to the franchise as Qui-Gon Jinn in Lucasfilm's Obi-Wan spin-off.

Last year, it was reported that Lucasfilm was in the early stages of developing a Star Wars spin-off centered around Obi-Wan Kenobi, prompting fans to speculate on whether or not Ewan McGregor would reprise his role as the young version of the Jedi master. Of course, many have also been wondering if the spin-off would also present an opportunity for Liam Neeson to return as Obi-Wan’s former mentor, Qui-Gon Jinn. In an interview with The River, Neeson weighed in on the possibility of returning to play the fallen Jedi in another film.

When asked about the current progress on the Obi-Wan film, Neeson revealed that he has not been contacted about appearing in the Star Wars project, but later stated that “anything is possible”:

Liam: Nobody has asked! But I’m dead anyway. I’m finished. Darth Maul killed my one.
-You can be a ghost.
Liam: Could do, yeah. Anything is possible, right? Star Wars.
