The new series set six years after Return of the Jedi will explore the Star Wars timeline between the original and sequel trilogies for the first time in live-action. While plot details still remain under wraps, The Mandalorian is rumored to chronicle the restoration of Mandalore after the fall of the Empire, which retreated into the unknown regions of the galaxy after the Battle of Jakku.
The latest batch of set photos revealed by MakingStarWars.net gives fans the first look at the appearance of Stormtroopers in a galaxy under control of the New Republic. You can check them out by heading over to MakingStarWars.net in the link below.
The new series has been written by Jon Favreau who also serves as executive producer along with Star Wars Rebels creator Dave Filoni, Colin Wilson, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy. Karen Gilchrist will co-executive produce. In addition to executive producing, Filoni has also been confirmed to direct the first episode with additional episodes helmed by Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).

After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
