‘Star Wars’: Oscar Isaac Posts Image Of Carrie Fisher & Mark Hamill

Star Wars actor Oscar Isaac is the latest person to send his condolences on the passing of Carrie Fisher. Hit the jump to check out his touching message.

Following the incredible box office haul of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Disney quickly began production on the untitled follow-up, Episode VIII. While Mark Hamill had a small role in The Force Awakens, in Episode VIII, the character is set to have a much bigger part, as he will train Daisy Ridley’s Rey. One of Episode VII’s breakout stars, was Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron. The “best pilot in the Resistance” conveyed an incredible amount of charm and wit. Dameron is set to return in next year’s sequel, alongside Ridley and John Boyega. Of course, Carrie Fisher passed away only two days ago, and that has sparked Oscar Isaac to share a touching message about the wonderful actress.

On his official Facebook page, Star Wars actor Oscar Isaac uploaded an image of Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher on set, before commenting:

“She had no patience for pretense or small talk. She saw through things, at a different angle, with the gritty wisdom that comes from the hardest lessons. And, man, did she make me laugh. Will miss you dearly, Carrie.”

While we still have to wait a long damn time to see Star Wars: Episode VIII, this touching message should inspire a few smiles. Fisher was only 60 years old when she passed on Monday morning. Isaac is the latest of many to reveal his condolences for his friend, and partner.

Star Wars: Episode VIII is set to hit theatres everywhere on December 15, 2017.
