Before the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Lucasfilm announced Rian Johnson was developing a new trilogy of films that would be set apart from the Skywalker saga. However, a new rumor reported by SuperBroMovies claimed the filmmaker has ceased development on the trilogy and opted to focus on other projects. Fortunately for fans of Rian Johnson’s work on The Last Jedi, the filmmaker debunked the rumor himself and confirmed he’s still on board the new Star Wars trilogy.
Are you relieved to hear Johnson is still working on his new trilogy? As a fan of The Last Jedi, I can’t wait to see what he has planned for the franchise. Share your own thoughts in the comments section below!
In the meantime, the final chapter of the Skywalker is set to hits theaters in December.
