‘Star Wars: Rise Of The Resistance’ Ride Sign Spoils Surprise Ending

A sign outside the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ride at Disney’s Galaxy’s Edge theme parks spoils a surprise element of the ending.

According to pictures snagged by WDWNT, the description for the ride that serves as a prequel of sorts to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker may have given away a shocking moment on the ride itself. While it does not have any story implications at all, it might mess with the experience for some guests. In the description, it’s pointed out that the Star Wars ride will conclude with a sharp drop as the heroes of the Resistance make for landfall from space.

The full quote can be read below:

“RISE OF THE RESISTANCE: Join us on an exhilarating mission to stop The First Order! This mission includes rapid motion, sudden stops, sharp turns, and a swift drop as you evade capture from The First Order.”

Rise of the Resistance puts park guests in the shoes of Resistance allies who get captured by the First Order, and need to be rescued by Rey, Finn, and Poe Dameron as Kylo Ren stalks the cast inside a Star Destroyer. The Star Wars ride is said to be the most ambitious one ever done at Disney’s theme parks.

Directed by J. J. Abrams, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker stars Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Naomi Ackie, Richard E. Grant, Keri Russell, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Ian McDiarmid, and Billy Dee Williams. Carrie Fisher will also appear as General Leia Organa through the use of previously unreleased footage shot from previous Star Wars films.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set to hit theaters on December 20, 2019.
