‘Star Wars: Squadrons’ To Get PS5 And Xbox Series X Release

Players will be able to jump into their fighters on either console.

EA’s Star Wars: Squadrons will also be available to play on PS5 and the Xbox Series X when the consoles are finally available on the shelves.

One of the creative directors behind Star Wars: Squadrons has revealed the game will be available to play on PS5 on Xbox Series X when it arrives this October. Ian S. Frazier recently posted a video discussing the game in-depth and answering some of the most important questions fans had about Squadrons. He was asked on twitter about the possibility of playing the game on PS5 since one fan was concerned about preordering the game but wanted to get the new console when it launches later this year.

The creative director explained on Twitter that although EA isn’t planning to develop a next-gen version of the game for PS5 or Xbox Series X, the backwards compatibility of the new consoles will allow players to still hurtle through the galaxy in Star Wars: Squadrons. Frazier didn’t offer an explanation behind the decision or discuss why they didn’t make the game exclusive to Ps5 or Xbox Series X, but at least fans can be safe in the knowledge that regardless which modern console they have they’ll be able to play Squadrons.

Are you excited for Star Wars: Squadrons? Will you play it on PS5 or Xbox Series X or are you waiting till the next-gen consoles come down in price? Sound-off in the comments!

The most recent game in the Star Wars Universe from EA was Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, here’s the synopsis:

From Respawn Entertainment comes a brand-new action adventure game which tells an original Star Wars™ story around a surviving Padawan set shortly after the events of Star Wars™: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith™.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox, and PC. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on Squadrons as we learn it and subscribe to our YouTube channel for more video content in the future!
