‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ Reveals The Siege of Mandalore Occurs During ‘Revenge of the Sith’

The latest episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars reveals the Siege Of Mandalore takes place during Revenge of the Sith.

The seventh and final season of Star Wars: The Clone promised to deliver a satisfying conclusion of the previously canceled series as it led into Revenge of the Sith. However, the latest episode of the animates series confirms that the Siege of Mandalore actually takes place at the same time as the opening of the final chapter of the prequel trilogy.

In the episode, Ahsoka Tano and Bo-Katan Kryze reveal to Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker that they located Darth Maul on the Outer Rime planet called Mandalore. While Bo-Katan Kryze hopes Obi-Wan Kenobi will join them on the mission to capture Maul, the Jedi Master opts to leave the decision to the Jedi council.

However, our heroes soon learn that the separatist forces have kidnapped Chancellor Palpatine just as the Siege of Mandalore is being planned. Of course, fans know that Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin are dispatched to lead a rescue mission to save the captive Palpatine, which is the key battle that serves as the opening sequence of Revenge of the Sith.

Not only does this new piece of information reveals that Ahsoka Tano’s mission on Mandalore takes place during Revenge of the Sith, but it also emphasizes the tragic downfall of Anakin Skywalker. Had the Jedi Knight joined Ahsoka Tano in the Siege of Mandalore, he would not have faced Count Dooku in Revenge of the Sith and passed Palpatine’s test to kill his elderly apprentice, a key moment in the series of event that lead to Anakin’s transformation into Darth Vader.

Here is the official synopsis for Disney Plus’ The Clone Wars:
