Abrams has often mentioned that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is not only the final chapter of the Sequel Trilogy, but also the closing chapter of all nine movies. Carrie Fisher will appear as General Leia Organa through the use of previously unreleased footage shot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi.
