Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is set to debut with an incredible opening weekend at the box office according to early predictions.

New predictions that will surprise no one show that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is on track to make a huge debut on it’s opening weekend at the box office. The final film in the Skywalker saga was always going to be a financial success with Star Wars fans desperate to discover how J.J. Abrams will pay off decades of storytelling as Rey and the Resistance face off against Kylo Ren and the First Order.

According to a report from Variety, The Rise Of Skywalker could debut anywhere between $175 million and $200 million for its North American opening. However Disney are reportedly estimating the film arriving at $165 million, which would make The Rise of Skywalker‘s opening weekend one of the lowest in the series. It’ll be interesting to see whether the final film in the new trilogy can reach the opening weekend heights of The Force Awakens ($248 million) or The Last Jedi ($220 million).
