‘Stargirl’ Casts Cameron Gellman As A Mysterious DC Character

Deadline reports Heathers TV series star Cameron Gellman has joined the cast of DC Universe’s Stargirl.

DC Universe’s upcoming slate includes a TV series centered on Stargirl and Heathers star Cameron Gellman is the latest actor to join the cast. Although details on the identity of Cameron Gellman’s are currently unknown, he will be playing a DC Comics character.

Cameron Gellman’s previous credits include Mary Harron’s Charlie Says, The FostersThe Middle, and the feature film 20th Century Women.

High school sophomore Courtney Whitmore who inspires an unlikely group of young heroes to stop the villains of the past. This new DC Universe series reimagines Stargirl and the very first superhero team, the Justice Society of America, in a fun, exciting and unpredictable series premiering in 2019, produced by Warner Bros. Television, Mad Ghost Productions and Berlanti Productions.

Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitemore, Joel McHale as Starman, Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan, Meg DeLacy as Cindy Burman, with Anjelika Washington, Yvette Monreal, Christopher James, and Jake Austin Walker in undisclosed roles. Geoff Johns will write and executive produce the 13-episode first season of Stargirl. Sarah Schechter and Arrowverse boss Greg Berlanti will also serve as executive producers on the series.

Stargirl is scheduled to debut on DC Universe in August 2019.
