Arrow is sadly coming to an end next season after captivating audiences for eight seasons over the course of seven years. Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen was the inaugural hero in The CW’s Arrowverse, just as Robert Downy Jr. was for the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2008’s Iron Man, and now its time has come to an end.
Fans recently began a PayPal fundraiser in hopes of erecting a billboard in New York’s Times Square to give The CW’s beloved series a proper send off. Stephen Amell took to Twitter to respond to the fundraiser and even made a donation of his own. Check out Stephen Amell’s response to the awesome fundraiser in the post below.
Although Arrow has been cancelled, no other Arrowverse series has officially received a cancellation just yet. For now, shows like Supergirl, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow will continue in the future, with the upcoming Batwoman series also on the horizon. The series will feature Ruby Rose reprising the titular role, which she originated last year in the Arrowverse cross over titled Elseworlds.
