Seven years after launching The CW’s shared universe of DC superheroes, Stephen Amell’s Arrow officially came to an end last night with its season 8 finale. However, the final episode of the Stephen Amell series dropped almost 20% from the penultimate episode with a total of 723,000 total viewers.
The series finale of Arrow earned a 0.3 rating among adults 18-49, putting it on par with the previous week’s episode. For comparison’s sake, the Crisis on Infinite Earths episode of Arrow earned twice as many viewers while the season premiere for the Stephen Amell show earned roughly 100,000 more viewers than the series finale.
The final episode of the Stephen Amell series was preceded by an hour-long retrospective titled “Arrow: Hitting the Bullseye.” The Arrow special, which pushed the Stephen Amell series from its regular 8 pm slot to 9 pm, scored a 0.2 rating and drew in a total of 663,000 viewers.
