Stephen Amell Plays Coy On Alternate Green Arrow In ‘Elseworlds’ Event

Arrow star Stephen Amell plays coy on if there will be an alternate Green Arrow in this year’s upcoming Arrowverse crossover titled, Elseworlds.

Earlier today, it was announced that this year’s Arrowverse crossover will be titled, Elseworlds. Of course, the name Elseworlds comes from the DC Comics label of stories that take place outside of the DC canon such as Superman: Red Son and Gotham by Gaslight. The crossover title has led to lots of speculation as to what this all means for the Arrowverse. A fan reached out to Amell on Twitter and asked if the crossover will feature an alternate Green Arrow due to Oliver Queen being locked up in prison for Season 7. The Arrow star was pretty coy in his response:

Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen with David Ramsey as John Diggle, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak and Colton Haynes. The series production team includes Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Wendy Mericle, and Sarah Schechter.

Elseworlds will find Green Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl visiting Gotham City after learning about the machinations of an Arkham Asylum doctor. The event will mark the introduction of Ruby Rose as Batwoman and the first appearance of Gotham City in the CW superhero universe. Superman will also appear in the crossover with Tyler Hoechlin reprising the role from Supergirl and Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch will portray Lois Lane in the character’s Arrowverse debut.

The 2018 Arrowverse crossover event starts with a special episode of The Flash on Sunday, December 9 and continues with Arrow on Monday, December 10. The three-night event concludes with Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11. All three entries will air at 8:00 p.m. ET on their respective nights.
