Stephen Amell Talks If Oliver Queen Revealed His Identity To Star City

This fall, we will be going into the fifth year of the Green Arrow television series, Arrow, as Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and his team continues their mission to protect Star City from evil. In a round table interview with Cinema Blend at San Diego Comic-Con, Amell was asked what would happen if Oliver revealed his identity to Star City as the Emerald Archer, which has happened in the comics before.

“I think that’d be cool. I think that’d be really cool. That would be an interesting way…because this year, in a lot of ways, is like the end of the chapter, you know? It’s not the end of the show, but the show was conceived and pitched as a five-year journey through the flashbacks and the present day. So it would be a very interesting and almost “Lost all of a sudden flash-forwarding for the first time” type of way to end the year this year and start anew, so to speak. Maybe I should pitch it.”

Previously on the series, in Season 3, we saw how it went when Oliver tried outing himself as the Green Arrow to Star City. Although, at that time, he was just the Arrow as opposed to now when he goes by the Green Arrow who has taken on a more heroic approach so maybe the results would be different this time around.

Arrow Season 5 is set to begin on Wednesday, October 5 at 8/7c on the CW.
