Arrow is currently in its seventh season and it has officially been announced that the upcoming eighth season will be the final season. For now, The Flash is set to continue on after its current fifth season and it has already teased an awesome new baddie for The Flash (Grant Gustin) to battle, Red Death.
The CW’s Arrowverse recently faced its biggest reality-altering event yet with last year’s Elseworlds, which set up this year’s holiday season Arrowverse event, an adaptation of the comic book Crisis on Infinite Earths. Along the way, the Scarlet Speedster will also have to face off against one of his most powerful foes yet.
A new theory from Reddit user Zoom explains how Arrow star Stephen Amell could take on the mantle of Red Death when the villain finally shows up on The Flash. Check out the intriguing new theory in the post below.
In the comics, Red Death is a villain whose true identity is Bruce Wayne. After Earth-52 Batman defeats The Flash and straps him to the front of his Batmobile, the Caped Crusader drives them both into the Speed Force like a twisted version of Back to the Future. After this, the two fuse together to become one person, Red Death. Batman did this because The Flash previously refused him access to the Speed Force.
Because The CW’s Arrowverse has featured Bruce Wayne/Batman by name only, the theory above tries to find a way that Red Death could fit into the show’s current timeline. There could be a number of ways for the series to create a new origin for the villain but this theory certainly finds a way to make it tie into the whole Arrowverse in a very emotional way, with its inaugural hero becoming its newest foe.
