‘Stranger Things’ Actress Millie Bobby Brown Auditioned For ‘Logan’

Stranger Things turned young actress Millie Bobby Brown into a star on the small screen, but it turns out that she nearly had her first big screen role earlier this year. Brown was, at one point, in the running to play Laura Kinney (X-23) in Logan.

In an interview with Variety, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown revealed that she didn’t get stage fright when she auditioned for the role opposite Hugh Jackman, who played James “Logan” Howlett (Wolverine). When reflecting on her Logan audition, Brown said the following:

“I was like, ‘It’s going to be amazing, I’m going to really prepare,’ and I sat in my room reading the lines. Honestly, for me, I felt so — I felt an actor, in the audition room, hitting Hugh Jackman, and James Mangold sitting right in front of me.”

While the Stranger Things star didn’t get the part (Dafne Keen got to play X-23), she was a good sport and watched the movie when it came out a few months ago, and she took a moment to praise Keen’s performance:

“I watched it; she was incredible. It meant so much to me.”

Logan is available on Blu-Ray, DVD, and On-Demand, with a cast that includes Hugh Jackman as James “Logan” Howlett (Wolverine), Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier (Professor X), Boyd Holbrook as Donald Pierce, Stephen Merchant as Caliban, Richard E. Grant as Dr. Zander Rice, Dafne Keen as Laura Kinney (X-23). In the meantime, Brown will make her big screen debut with 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
