‘Stranger Things’ Star Millie Bobby Brown Denies Marvel’s ‘The Eternals’ Casting Rumor

During a Q&A session on her official Instagram account, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown addressed the rumors regarding her casting in Marvel Studios’ The Eternals.

Marvel Studios’ Phase 4 plans reportedly include a film centered on The Eternals, the celestial beings created by Jack Kirby in the Marvel comics. The Eternals film is said to feature an ensemble cast that Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown was recently reported to be a part of, though it appears this was news to the young actress as well. During a live Q&A session on her official Instagram account, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown stated she is not currently set to appear in a Marvel film:

“Everybody thinks I’m going to be in a Marvel movie. Not that I know of. My family and I have no idea. So I just want to let everyone know…that I’m not as of right now.”

The Eternals will be directed by Chloe Zhao from a script written by Matthew and Ryan Firpo. The reported cast includes Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, and Ma Dong-Seok. In the meantime, Millie Bobby Brown can now be seen in the third season of Netflix’s Stranger Things.

“It’s 1985 in Hawkins, Indiana, and summer’s heating up. School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart. Meanwhile, danger looms. When the town’s threatened by enemies old and new, Eleven and her friends are reminded that evil never ends; it evolves. Now they’ll have to band together to survive, and remember that friendship is always stronger than fear.”

Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Dacre Montgomery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, and Cara Buono.

Stranger Things 3 is now available on Netflix.
