‘Stranger Things’ Officially Reveals Season 3 Release Date

Netflix has officially announced the release date for the highly-anticipated third season of the smash hit series Stranger Things.

To kick off the New Year, Netflix announced at midnight that Stranger Things 3 will debut on the streaming platform on July 4, 2019. The first poster for season three has also been released.

Plot details remain under wraps, however, the new season takes place almost one year after Stranger Things 2, during the summer of 1985. It has now been confirmed that the new season takes place during the fourth of July. Season three will feature eight new episodes of the hit series, returning to the episode count of the first season rather than the nine episodes produced for the second season.

Although Eleven sealed off Hawkins and closed the gate to the Upside Down in the Stranger Things 2 finale, the Mind Flayer has been previously confirmed as the main villain to return in future seasons beyond the second. Stranger Things executive producer and director Shawn Levy has also teased the upcoming third season will deal with new forces of evil, as the third season gives Noah Schnapp’s Will Byers a bit of a break from the Upside Down’s monsters.

You can check out the full list of episode titles below.

1. “Suzie, Do You Copy?”
2. “The Mallrats”
3. “The Case of the Missing Lifeguard”
4. “The Sauna Test”
5. “The Source”
6. “The Birthday”
7. “The Bite”
8. “The Battle of Starcourt”

Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, and Dacre Montgomery. New additions to the cast for season three include Cary Elwes, Jake Busey, and Francesca Reale.

Stranger Things 3 hits Netflix next Summer. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the third season of Stranger Things as we learn it.
