Episodes 5 and 6 of Stranger Things season 2 titled “The Storm” and “The Polliwog” are officially in the can as Finding Dory director Andrew Stanton has completed his work on the series.
Stanton took to Twitter to thank executive producer Shawn Levy, Stranger Things co-creators The Duffer Brothers and cinematographer Tim Ives for what he says was the opportunity of a lifetime.
Production on the nine episode second season will continue in Atlanta, GA with Electrick Children director Rebecca Thomas at the helm of episode 7,”The Secret Cabin”. The Duffer Brothers will be back to direct episode 8 “The Brain” as well as episode 9, “The Lost Brother”. Production on season 2 is expected to complete sometime during May.
The adventure continues in the fall of 1984 as the world is turning upside down.
Stranger Things stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Noah Schnapp.
The series has also added Sean Astin (The Goonies), Paul Reiser (Aliens), Brett Gelman (Jobs), Dacre Montgomery (Power Rangers), Danish actress Linnea Berthelsen, and broadway star Sadie Sink.
Stranger Things Season 2 hits Netflix this Halloween.
