Both Margot Robbie and Jai Courtney have expressed their willingness to return to their Suicide Squad characters in the DCEU.
Two particularly strong candidates to return to the DCEU are Jai Courtney’s Captain Boomerang and Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn. It’s already been said that Robbie signed a multi-picture deal when she joined Squad, and a Harley solo film with the potential to include other DC heroines has been heavily rumoured. Here’s what Robbie had to say on the potential of returning as Harley:
“I hope (to play this character) forever. I really, I could play Harley for a long time. I don’t know how long. We’ve signed on, I mean I think everyone’s committed to a couple of films. There’s so much you can do. They’re the sort of characters that you could keep exploring and find so many more, so much more to do.”
Courtney had this to say when asked if he would return:
“Yeah, we’re all around for a few movies, should they choose to make them, and I hope so. I’m having way too much fun to think about letting this go anytime soon.”
Robbie also added that she feels they would ‘probably bring in a new Harley’ when her body stopped allowing her to do her own stunts.
Do you want to see these two return to the DCEU? What other Squad members would you like to see again? Sound off in the comments.
Starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Jay Hernandez, Karen Fukuhara, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Ike Barinholtz, Scott Eastwood and Cara Delevingne, Suicide Squad is out in theatres now.
