‘Suicide Squad’ Director Shares Cryptic Joker Posts Following Snyder Cut Announcement

Suicide Squad director David Ayer shared two cryptic Joker posts in the wake of the Snyder Cut announcement.

While DC fans are still excited after the Snyder Cut‘s release was officially confirmed, Suicide Squad director David Ayer took to Twitter with two cryptic Joker posts. The first sees Jared Leto’s Joker staring menacingly at the camera while holding two pistols, with a caption stating “I am different F**k your opinion.” Fans immediately responded in a similar fashion to the Snyder Cut, campaigning to see the director’s original version of the 2016 film.

The director quickly followed this up with a photo of what looks like a piano lid, covered in Joker’s biblical ramblings, referring to himself as the “Laff King” and calling Batman “the Dark Knight of Skyface.” Presumably, Skyface is Gotham. The Joker also heavily refers to Harley Quinn as his Queen and talks about Batman arresting her. It’s not the first time Ayer has posted information about his original version of the film, recently revealing what was changed about particular character arcs during reshoots. Take a look at the cryptic Joker post below.

Do you think David Ayer’s Suicide Squad will get another release after Justice League? Would you want to see another version of the supervillain team-up movie? Sound off in the comments below!

The first Suicide Squad followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker. However, James Gunn is expected to deliver on the fresh take on the Suicide Squad in his upcoming movie.

Written and directed by James Gunn, The Suicide Squad stars David Dastmalchian, John Cena, Jai Courtney, Joaquín Cosío, Nathan Fillion, Joel Kinnaman, Mayling Ng, Flula Borg, Sean Gunn, Juan Diego Botto, Storm Reid, Pete Davidson, Taika Waititi, Alice Braga, Steve Agee, Tinashe Kajese, Daniela Melchior, Peter Capaldi, Julio Ruiz, Jennifer Holland, Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Margot Robbie, and Michael Rooker.

The Suicide Squad will be released in theaters on August 6, 2021.
