‘Suicide Squad’ Extended Cut Reveals More Batman Easter Eggs

The extended cut edition of David Ayer's 'Suicide Squad' reveals more Batman-related Easter eggs and the skyline of Gotham City.

The Suicide Squad extended cut edition is ready to own on Digital HD and although it’s not out to own on Blu-Ray and DVD until mid-December, fans are already finding new new footage. Most of which is Batman-related.

According to one fan on Reddit, Gotham City’s skyline is seen in a shot right before the film cuts to a scene between Deadshot and his daughter. Several well-established buildings are seen in this shot. One of the primary ones is the Ace Chemicals building where Harley Quinn is thrown into one of the chemical boilers by the Joker, transforming her.

Another building that was noticed in the extended cut edition is the Gotham Chronicle building, which is the headquarters for the primary newspaper in the city and has been used on the TV show Gotham. Also present, but barely noticeable, is the Gotham Telegraph building.

Suicide Squad Extended Cut will be available to own on Blu-Ray and DVD December 13.

The film stars Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Jay Hernandez, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Cara Delevingne, and Scott Eastwood.

Directed by David Ayer, Suicide Squad was released to mixed reviews, but has since made a lot of money at the box office, both domestically and globally.
