James Gunn Shares ‘The Suicide Squad’ Photo As Production Begins

The Suicide Squad director James Gunn has shared a new behind-the-scenes photo featuring several members of the film’s cast.

Earlier this month, James Gunn revealed the full cast list for Warner Bros and DC’s The Suicide Squad. With production currently underway, many of those The Suicide Squad cast members have assembled to begin work on the supervillain team-up flick.

On his official Twitter account, James Gunn shared a new photo of himself hanging out with some his The Suicide Squad cast members over the weekend. Included in the photo with James Gunn are Flula Borg, Daniela Melchior, David Dastmalchian, Nathan Fillion, and Mayling Ng.

Production on James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is scheduled to take place in Atlanta, Georgia, for three months. After that, James Gunn and The Suicide Squad team will head to Panama to continue filming.

The first Suicide Squad followed a team of supervillains who were recruited by the government for a dangerous black ops mission in exchange for reduced sentences. The ensemble cast included Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker. James Gunn is expected to deliver on the fresh take on the supervillain team in his upcoming movie.
