‘Suicide Squad’ Bringing The Heat At Box Office; Global Total Hits $326M

The worst heroes ever are having the best August ever as Warner Bros. Suicide Squad continues to break record after record at the domestic box office. But the film isn’t just killing it domestically and is crushing it at the international box office as well, bringing in a hefty $15.7M on Monday and another $15.3M on Tuesday. This brings the David Ayer directed film’s international cume up to $165M. Add in it’s current domestic haul of $161M and that brings the film’s worldwide total to $326.1M so far. Overseas, it’s landed the second biggest opening for a DC Comics film, only behind this year’s Batman v Superman.

Suicide Squad is currently eclipsing 2014’s Guardians Of Galaxy in numerous markets such as Brazil, where it has has surpassed the entire run of the film in only six days. It’s current top market is the U.K. with $19.7M followed by Russia with $14.2M. Other notable markets for the film include  followed by Mexico with $13.2M and Australia where the film has landed $12.3M. The film is looking to once again take the top spot next weekend with a haul somewhere between $51M to $54M, which is about a 60% drop compared to the 69% drop seen by Batman v Superman on it’s second weekend back in March.
