‘Sully’ Official IMAX Trailer Released

The official IMAX trailer for ‘Sully’ has been released by Warner Brothers today. The film stars Tom Hanks in the title role as Captain Chelsey “Sully” Sullenberger. It tells the true events of how he was able to successfully glide a plane into the Hudson River, which was said to be a “Mircale on the Hudson”. Clint Eastwood is in the director’s chair for this film.  Eastwood has been a director whose films have been lauded over and judging on the intensity of this trailer it has the potential to receive the same warm reception that his past films have. This film looks like an intense and thrilling look into a fascinating true story and with Tom Hanks in the lead it’s bound to be a well acted film at the very least.

On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the “Miracle on the Hudson” when Captain “Sully” Sullenberger glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard.  However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.

Sully will hit theaters in IMAX on September 9th.
