Benoist hinted that Supergirl fans will see more reporting from Kara in the future.
“[It] is a struggle, for sure, but that’s her calling. So it would not be her story without more journalism. That’s what she wants to do the most with her life, so you’ll see more of that, for sure.”
Kreisberg also teased that Kara may not be unemployed for much longer.
“Kara might not be out of a job as long as people think. You can’t keep a good writer down.”
Kreisberg also teases an important Supergirl episode focused on James Olsen.
“There’s a big James episode coming up that we’re starting to shoot this week. It’s, like, the biggest James story we’ve ever done. We’re excited, Mehcad [Brooks] is excited…. It’s going to be great.”
Personally, Kara’s career in journalism has been one of the more interesting yet underdeveloped stories of the season thus far, so I’m eager to see more focus on her intrepid reporting.

Supergirl airs on Monday at 8:00 pm ET on The CW. Be sure to check back with Heroic Hollywood after each episode for weekly reviews!
