Supergirl executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner revealed the season four finale title during a recent screening hosted by The CW. Released in 1987, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace marked Christopher Reeve’s last outing as the Man of Steel. The film also starred Jon Cryer, the actor who currently plays Superman’s arch-nemesis Lex Luthor on Supergirl.
Jon Cryer made his debut as Lex in last night’s episode of Supergirl, but this isn’t the first time that the actor has played a member of the Luthor family. Superman IV: The Quest for Peace featured Cryer as Lenny Luthor, the nephew of Lex Luthor. In that movie, Lenny helped Lex get ouf of jail and create Nuclean Man, a clone of Christopher Reeve’s Superman.
