President Olivia Marsdin (Lynda Carter)
Lynda Carter was the world’s first live action Wonder Woman – the true embodiment of Diana Prince. Carter was offered a role on Supergirl out of respect for the actresses history with DC, and signed on to fittingly enough play President Olivia Marsdin. Kriesberg reveals that Supergirl will eventually be protecting the President as she angers a lot of people by pardoning the crimes of aliens.
“She very much believes in this cause, which is going to put her in danger, which is going to necessitate Supergirl protecting her.”
Kriesberg also adds:
“We can’t believe she said yes.”
Carter’s character in the show seems to be a woman who sticks to her convictions, which makes sense, considering she once played Wonder Woman and all. Let’s hope Supergirl can keep her safe throughout the season.
