‘Supergirl’: Katie McGrath Wants Jason Momoa To Make Guest Appearance

The second season of Supergirl introduced fans to Lena Luthor, played by Katie McGrath, the new CEO of L-Corp who made it her goal to distinguish herself from her disreputable family. Forming a strong friendship with Kara Danvers, Lena proved to be one of the more popular new characters of the season and the creative minds behind the series later promoted McGrath to series regular status for the upcoming third season. While Lena Luthor’s role in the third season remains unknown for the time being, McGrath did reveal which DC actor she would like to see make an appearance on

While Lena Luthor’s role in the third season remains unknown for the time being, McGrath did reveal which DC actor she would like to see make an appearance on Supergirl during an interview with CinemaBlend. The actress explained that she would like to see Aquaman star Jason Momoa make a guest appearance on the series, even in a different role than the King of Atlantis:

“Jason Momoa, because I’ve worked with him before and I love him. He gives the best hugs and he’s the nicest man. And he is the actor I’ve worked with the most that has surprised me. You have a preconceived notion about who he is because of what he looks like and he comes in and he acts you off the screen. So I’d love to see him in any role. He doesn’t have to be Aquaman. I don’t care. He can come in and stand in the back of a shot and hold a pint of Guinness if he wants. He’s just a delight to be on set with. I think everyone would watch that. The man is a god. He is a sea god, an actual god.”

Considering Supergirl and other heroes from the CW’s Arrowverse have traveled across the multiverse on a number of occasions, it would not be outside the realm of possibilities for Momoa’s Aquaman to find his way to Kara’s universe. Of course, that may just be wishful thinking as it appears the creative minds behind both the DC Extended Universe and the Arrowverse prefer to keep their respective worlds separate for the foreseeable future.

Supergirl season 3 will air next fall on The CW.
