‘Supergirl’ Producer Talks Alex Danvers’ Feelings On Superman’s Visit

Supergirl will kick off with a big bang for her second season as her super-cousin, Clark Kent a.k.a. Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) will be guest-starring for the first two episodes. In the latest edition of Spoiler Room with Entertainment Weekly, a fan asked how Alex Danvers will feel about the Man of Steel’s visit to National City and this is what executive producer/show-runner Andrew Kreisberg had to say about it.

“Alex has been everything to Kara; she’s her family. Alex has a little bit of a chip on her shoulder about Clark. She loves him and he’s family, but he left Kara on their doorstep. Kara is so excited to see Clark and so excited to be with him, it’s almost a little bit like Alex feels taken for granted, because she’s the family member who’s put in the time. It sets up an interesting conflict between her and Kara in the first couple of episodes.”

“Now, in Season Two, Kara has left the safety of being Cat Grant’s assistant in order to figure out what she really wants to do, while as Supergirl she continues to work at the DEO., protecting the citizens of National City and searching for Jeremiah and Cadmus. Along the way, she will team up with Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) to battle new villains, as she strives to balance her personal life with her life as a superhero.”

Supergirl Season 2 is set to take flight on Monday, October 10 at 8/7c on The CW.
