Tyler Hoechlin To Play Superman In ‘Supergirl’ Season 2

We recently found out that the Man of Steel would be returning to the small screen for the first two episodes of the second season of Supergirl and now we finally know who will be playing him as Entertainment Weekly has revealed that Teen Wolf star Tyler Hoechlin has landed the coveted role on the CW series.

The actor will make his debut as Clark Kent aka Superman in the season two premiere when the show returns this fall. Plot details are being kept under wraps, so the only thing we know right now is that he will be visiting his cousin Kara in National City for an unknown reason. The character has actually made an appearance in the show before, but we never got to see his face except for that time we got to meet his younger self.

Here’s what executive producer Andrew Kreisberg had to say about the casting:

“Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman. We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character.”

What do you guys think? Are you looking forward to seeing Hoechlin fully suited up as Superman on the CW series? Sound-off your thoughts in the comment section below.
