‘Supergirl’: Tyler Hoechlin On The Showdown Between Kara & Superman

The penultimate episode of Supergirl season two concluded with Kara seemingly foiling Rhea’s invasion of earth until Superman arrived and attacked Kara. While fans can probably assume that Rhea has somehow taken control of Superman, her methods and the fallout over the impeding battle between the Super cousins remain a mystery to viewers. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actor Tyler Hoechlin discussed the upcoming duel and the emotional toll it will take on the two heroes.

Hoechlin would not explain the reason behind Superman actions. but he did suggest that the explanation is more complex than viewers may believe.

“Any time you find yourself squaring off against someone that’s family, it takes on a little bit more of a toll. But that’s something you’re going to have to wait and see to find out; it’s a little more complicated than it appears.”

Supergirl continues next week with the season finale titled “Nevertheless, She Persisted”.
