Supergirl Is Imprisoned In S.T.A.R. Labs In New ‘Elseworlds’ Promo

The promos for the upcoming Elseworlds crossover on the DCCW has taken some of the Arrowverse’s heroes to interesting and different places. Never mind dealing with the Dominators or evil versions of yourself from Earth-X. Now we’ve got Oliver discovering that he’s married to Iris West, Barry training with Diggle, and now Kara Danvers finds herself a prisoner of S.T.A.R. Labs. Yes, during last night’s episode of Supergirl, as was done with Arrow and The Flash, we were treated to a short, but effective tease of what’s to come in about two weeks.

In the new Elseworlds promo, we see that destiny will be rewritten. How? Well, in the promo, we don’t see Supergirl, but Kara Danvers herself as she’s imprisoned in S.T.A.R. Labs, which is on Earth-1. Though technically, when Barry first came to Supergirl’s world, he did note that while Central City exists on Earth-38, S.T.A.R. Labs does not. So here, we see Kara imprisoned while Alex — sporting a new hairdo — calls the Girl of Steel a despicable, dangerous, and crazy threat.

Kara pleads with her sister, saying that the world looks one way, but the two of them are still sisters. Well, clearly Supergirl needs more convincing speeches because Alex’s response to the impassioned plea is to seal Kara’s cell shut. Here, have a look at Supergirl’s world turned upside down in the Elseworlds promo.

Given how many changes we’ve seen coming to the Arrowverse with the Elseworlds, not to mention the introduction of Ruby Rose’s Batwoman, it’ll be interesting to see just how we get here. Especially given how Supergirl as of recent has been focusing on the threat that is the Children of Liberty. So how does Kara not just end up on Earth-1, but in S.T.A.R. Labs as well? And better yet, what’s up with Alex? Did Team Flash sanction this? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

The Arrowverse “Elseworlds” crossover starts on Sunday, December 9 with The Flash, continues on December 10 with Arrow, and concludes with Supergirl on December 11. The special will air on the CW.
