Henry Cavill’s future as Superman has been the subject of speculation since reports surfaced claiming his manager and Warner Bros. were in the midst of heated contract negotiations. While Henry Cavill’s manager issued a statement claiming he was still playing Superman and Warner Bros. announced no official decision has been made on future Superman films, recent rumors claimed the actor’s team was demanding script and director approval for a Man of Steel sequel along with a producer credit for the star. However, Collider reached out to Henry Cavill’s representatives and was told those rumors are “patently inaccurate” and that there is “no truth to this.”
For time being, there is no indication that Warner Bros. is moving forward with a Man of Steel sequel, but Henry Cavill is set to move to the small screen as the lead character of Netflix’s The Witcher.
The Witcher stars Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Jodhi May as Queen Calanthe, Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, Adam Levy as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as Aretuza, and Millie Brady as Princess Renfri, with Mimi Ndiweni and Therica Wilson-Read as novice sorcerers.
