Fan Art Celebrates Henry Cavill’s Move From Superman To ‘The Witcher’

Fan artist Yadvender Singh has created a new piece celebrating Henry Cavill’s move from Superman to Netflix’s The Witcher.

In September 2018, it was announced that Superman actor Henry Cavill would portray Geralt of Rivia on Netflix’s television adaptation of The Witcher. The news generally well-received, but some wondered if the casting meant that Henry Cavill’s time as Superman was coming to an end. Now, Fan artist Yadvender Singh’s latest work celebrates Cavill moving on from the Superman role to play Geralt of Rivia by featuring the Man of Steel standing behind monster slayer.

Based on the fantasy series of novels and short stories by Andrzej Sapkowski, Netflix’s The Witcher will follow the monster slayer for hire named Geralt of Rivia. Showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich will also serve as an executive producer on the series while Alik Sakharov, Alex Garcia Lopez and Charlotte Brändström are on board as directors for the eight-episode first season.

The Witcher stars Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Jodhi May as Queen Calanthe, Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson as Eist, Adam Levy as Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as Aretuza, and Millie Brady as Princess Renfri, with Mimi Ndiweni and Therica Wilson-Read as novice sorcerers.

The Witcher will be available on Netflix at an undetermined time.
