Earlier this month, DC Universe opted to cancel Swamp Thing less than a week after the first episode debuted on the streaming service in a move that reportedly stunned even those involved with the show. Now, Derek Mears, who portrays the titular creature, has posted a message on his official Twitter account in which he thanks fans for the positive responses towards Swamp Thing, giving a special shoutout to those who made fan art, commented, or shared their love for the series with others.
While DC may have canceled the series, the streaming service still plans to release the full first season with new episodes weekly.
