Work is officially underway on the sequel.
Now that work is officially underway on Thor: Love and Thunder, director Taika Waititi took to Twitter to show off how the cast and crew celebrated the start of production on the Marvel sequel. The new shots come soon after images surfaced online revealing the huge set being built for the film in Sydney, teasing what looks like an alien planet. Since characters like Star-Lord will also have a role in the film, it seems highly likely that the film will once again go cosmic.
Taika Waititi posted photos from a ‘Welcome to Country’ ceremony, which marks the start of production and acknowledges the First Nations people of Australia. The Thor: Love and Thunder director wants other filmmakers to follow suit in working with First Nations people. Thor star Chris Hemsworth also took part in the ceremony, which can be seen in the photos below.
