Taron Egerton Discusses Channing Tatum’s Role In ‘Kingsman’ Sequel

Kingsman: The Secret Service was a breakout hit in 2014, featuring action newcomer Taron Egerton in the starring role. With such critical and box office success, it came as no surprise when a sequel to Kingsman was announced that would feature Egerton once again, along with some famous supporting cast members. Amongst the newcomers to Kingsman: The Golden Circle is Channing Tatum.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Egerton talked about his co-stars and what it was like working with Tatum on set. His supporting cast includes Halle Berry, Julianne Moore, and Tatum.

“That’s my supporting cast, yeah. It’s great, man, we’ve just finished, it’s gonna blow everyone away.”

Egerton elaborated on Tatum’s role, including that the actor wasn’t on set for long.

“[Channing] was only around for a couple weeks, but he’s such a great guy and he’s brilliant in the movie.”

While no details are known regarding his role at the moment, very likely that Tatum could be playing one of the Statesman agents in the upcoming sequel.

Matthew Vaughn is returning to direct and the cast also includes Jeff Bridges, Mark Strong, Sophie Cookson, Conlin Firth, Halle Berry, Julianne Moore, Pedro Pascal and Elton John. Kingsman: The Golden Circle will hit theaters on June 16th, 2017.
