Goodbye 'Orphan Black' clones, hello 'She-Hulk'.
After the stunning news that Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany will lead the Marvel Cinematic Universe She-Hulk series on Disney Plus, a new concept design imagines what she’ll look like in the role when the show eventually arrives on the streaming service. There’s been a number of actresses that fans have suggested for She-Hulk like Alison Brie, Gina Carano and Stephanie Beatriz, but Tatiana Maslany’s work on Orphan Black should signal the talent that she’ll bring to the MCU.
The new design of the Orphan Black star comes from BossLogic and Amir Anbarestani, who give Tatiana Maslany the iconic green look as She-Hulk alongside the purple and white top. BossLogic gives the star a more tactical outfit rather than the swimsuit look, which is definitely the right decision for the MCU series. It’ll be interesting to see who Maslany is pitted against in the She-Hulk show. Early reports indicated that Mark Ruffalo will have a minor role in the series, most likely to play the Hulk’s part in Jennifer Walters’ origin as a superhero. For those not familiar, Jennifer is given a blood transfusion of Bruce Banner’s irradiated blood after an accident because they’re cousins. Take a look at the art of Tatiana Maslany in She-Hulk below.
What do you make of the MCU concept art? Are you excited to see Tatiana Maslany in She-Hulk? What did you think of her performance in Orphan Black? Sound-off in the comments below!
In the comics, She-Hulk is the alter-ego of Jennifer Walters, a private attorney and the cousin of Bruce Banner. After being shot, Jennifer Walters receives a blood transfusion from Bruce that transforms her into the gamma-powered She-Hulk. However, unlike most incarnations of Bruce Banner’s Hulk, Jennifer Walters retains her sharp wit and emotional control in her She-Hulk form, which later becomes permanent.
Marvel Studios’ upcoming slate of films includes Black Widow, The Eternals, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder. In addition to the aforementioned feature films, Marvel Studios is developing several shows for Disney Plus, including The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, Loki, What If…?, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk.
She-Hulk is currently slated for a 2022 release on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
