As Christopher Nolan fights to save movie theaters, Tenet remains one of the few movies that is sticking to its release date with the coronavirus causing shutdowns and delays. One of Warner Bros. major tentpoles for this year is Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman 1984, which was recently pushed back from June to August. However, it sounds like a decision from Warner Bros. on what to do with Tenet may be coming soon, especially with a trailer on the way.
According to Deadline, Warner Bros. is looking to keep Tenet at its July 17 release date, but they will need at least 80 percent of theaters in the country and in major markets to be open. If this isn’t the case by July, then Tenet will move to Wonder Woman 1984‘s August 14 release date. With a Tenet delay, Warner Bros. will likely move Wonder Woman 1984 to Dune‘s spot on December 18.

Plot details for Tenet remain under wraps, but the Christopher Nolan film has been officially described as “an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage.” Production on Tenet took place across seven countries.
Written and directed by Christopher Nolan, Tenet stars John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clémence Poésy, Michael Caine, Kenneth Branagh, and Himesh Patel. Christopher Nolan also serves as a producer alongside his wife Emma Thomas, with Thomas Hayslip on board as an executive producer.
Tenet is currently set to be released in theaters on July 17, 2020. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for all the latest news surrounding the upcoming Christopher Nolan film and be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content in the future!
