Josh Brolin introduced his Thanos in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Thanos had previously appeared in the post-credits scene following 2012’s The Avengers but Guardians of the Galaxy finally introduced fans to Josh Brolin as the Mad Titan. Last year’s Avengers: Infinity War featured Josh Brolin’s Thanos carrying out an incredibly evil deed, extinguishing half of all life in the universe. It was this event that set up the highly-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe event film, Avengers: Endgame.
Avengers: Endgame picks up shortly after the events of Infinity War, twenty-two days to be exact. The surviving heroes will attempt to undo Thanos’ actions but shortly after Infinity War was released, many MCU fans questioned why Josh Brolin’s Mad Titan simply didn’t use his incredible power to create more resources instead of killing random people to help balance the universe.
An interesting new fan theory from username rhowena on Reddit possibly explains why Thanos’ evil deeds make sense for his character. Check out the eye-opening Avengers: Endgame fan theory in the post below.
Avengers: Endgame hits theaters later this month, bringing closure to the epic story that began in last year’s Avengers: Infinity War. In July, the MCU will continue with another adventure starring Tom Holland’s Peter Parker, Spider-Man: Far From Home. Black Widow is expected to begin production this summer, though no official release date has been announced yet.
