‘The Batman’ Set Photos Offer Closer Look At Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit

New photos from the set of Robert Pattinson’s The Batman offer fans a closer look at the Batsuit.

More photos from the Glasgow set of The Batman give fans a fresh look at the details in the gauntlets of Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit. Since The Batman director Matt Reeves first revealed the Batsuit in an atmospheric video, the internet has been closely analyzing Robert Pattinson’s costume for his role as the Dark Knight. Now, new photos have offered a close up look at the interesting new design of the Batsuit for The Batman.

The set photos mainly focus on the gauntlets that Robert Pattinson will wear in The Batman, with the shots showing off the dart-like projectiles strapped to the titular character’s arms. Some fans were quick to criticize the design, especially the straps that help finish the new gauntlet design. The photos also show off what looks like an Apple Watch strapped to the Batsuit’s gloves, which will likely be used as part of the focus on Bruce Wayne’s detective skills in Robert Pattinson’s The Batman. Take a look at the close-up photos of Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit in The Batman below.

Full plot details on The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and feature a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that includes Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Riddler. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as Batman.

Directed by Matt Reeves from a script he co-wrote with Mattson Tomlin, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, with Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as the Penguin.

The Batman opens in theaters on June 25, 2021.
