‘The Conjuring 3’ Director Michael Chaves Unveils The Film’s Eery New Logo

The Conjuring 3‘s creepy logo has been unveiled by director Michael Chaves.

The Conjuring blew the doors off the box office when it premiered in 2013 and unexpectedly started a franchise in the style of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Conjuring earned one sequel in 2016 and several spin-offs, including Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation, The Nun, The Curse of La Llorona, and this summer’s Annabelle Comes Home. Next year, The Curse of La Llorona director Michael Chaves will return to the franchise next year with The Conjuring 3.

Michael Chaves will be taking over the director mantle from Aquaman director James Wan, who also helmed the first two Conjuring films. The Conjuring 3 arrives in theaters next Fall and in anticipation of the horror threequel, director Michael Chaves has shared the film’s logo via his website. Check out the awesome new logo for Michael Chaves’ The Conjuring 3 below.

The Conjuring 3‘s Fall release date makes it the first film in the trilogy not open in summer. September may seem like an odd time to release a huge horror film but 2017s It saw incredible success in that time frame time two years ago, so Michael Chaves’ trilogy-ender is in good company.

Michael Chaves’ The Conjuring 3 will also be the first film in the trilogy not to be written by Chad and Carey Hayes. Instead, The Conjuring 3 will be written by David Leslie Johnson, who helped co-write The Conjuring 2 with James Wan and the Hayes brothers. David Leslie Johnson also co-wrote the script for James Wan’s Aquaman.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Michael Chaves’ The Conjuring 3 as soon as more information becomes available. Are you a fan of the new logo? Are you looking forward to Michael Chaves replacing James Wan as director? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

The Conjuring 3 will haunt theaters on September 11, 2020.
