The First Round Of ‘Luke Cage’ Reviews Are In

Luke Cage is, by the sounds of early reviews, is about to be the third consecutive hit in a row for Marvel and Netflix after Daredevil and Jessica Jones. The early reviews of the series are compellingly positive, as the show received praise across the board. Heroic Hollywood’s own Andy Behbakht shared his review of Luke Cage, summing the series up with one word: soul. Other media outlets have all had the same sentiments.

Collider had great things to say about the series and Mike Colter’s portrayal as the leading man, calling the show both “smooth and deliberate”. ComicsBeat reflects Collider’s praise, calling the series Marvel’s best television effort to date. 411Mania gave the series an overwhelmingly positive review, calling both the main cast and the supporting characters tremendous. 411Mania also emphasizes the strengths of the show’s conflicts. DenOfGeek gives the series a strong review as well, but is the only site on this list to take some small issues with aspects of the show. Otherwise, Luke Cage has a flawless critical track record so far.
